• Location: on your first visit your browser asks whether to share your location. It's optional. If you allow it, we round it to about 1km before it leaves your device, and use it to find nearby prices.
• Cookies: three first-party functional cookies remember your rounded location, fuel type and search distance for 30 days. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
• Postcodes: a typed full postcode is used once to find your position and isn't kept. We store only the district and rounded position, in a cookie on your device.
• Server logs: to keep the site working we log each request: page, status, timing, browser type, country, the postcode district or town searched, the station shown and its distance, and whether location was allowed. We don't log full postcodes, coordinates or IP addresses. A random visitor ID, changed daily, groups one visit's requests. Logs are kept while the site is being stabilised, up to a storage limit, and this page will be updated when a fixed retention period is set.
• Price reports: we store the station, fuel, price and time, with no identifier.
