About the data

Prices come from GOV.UK Fuel Finder. Stations must report price changes within 30 minutes, and we check for updates every 15 minutes. This is an independent site, not a government service.

How we rank

• Temporarily closed stations are removed.
• Stations whose coordinates are far from their postcode area are removed.
• A price is marked "may be out of date" if it's 15p or more below the 15 nearest stations and over 30 days old, 25p or more below at any age, or 50p or more above. It stays visible but isn't ranked.
• Stations only report changes, so an old date alone isn't treated as wrong. We show every price's age.
• Our top pick must be open now with clear hours. Members-only stations are listed but never the top pick.

Northern Ireland postcodes use a district centre, so results there are approximate unless you use your location.
